W. Eugene Smith

I never knew about the wonderful photographer, W. Eugene Smith, before reading about him on Eric Kim's blog.

A shocking similarity: he's married and have four children.. His financial situation was suffering and he needed to choose between becoming a husband/father, or a photographer; so he chose to be a photographer.  In my case, I chose to be a husband/father, and got a day job :)

When you go through his pictures (on the Magnum website), don't just browse through. I would like you to take a moment and feel the emotions, if you were the photographer.. Take your time.

I compiled a YouTube playlist of 10 segments, showing a documentary about him.
