Canon PowerShot SX50 HS

My family had the Canon PowerShot G9 for five years now.. It's a great vacation camera, don't get me wrong, but we've been having some issues with it and I thought it's time to look for an alternative.

During my exploration, I started reading about the Canon PowerShot SX50 HS and its lens.. I kept on reading reviews and couldn't wrap my head around its lens, 24-1200mm.. 1200mm for under $500, are you kidding me? This is when I decided to just place the order and get it with some of the G9's limitations resolved (super telephoto lens, higher ISO, faster focus, and Full HD 1080 video).

And it arrived today :)

I did a short test video to demonstrate the zoom, with digital zoom enabled. Making it x200

The Canon PowerShot SX50 HS camera is equipped with a 24-1200mm f/3.4-6.5 lens (x50).. This is a short and quick test for the zooming capability with digital zoom enabled, which takes the magnification from x50 to x200.. But generally speaking, I don't like digital zoom.
